Choose OLOPSC Senior High School
It has always been said that your school is your second home and it has always been daunting letting go of your comfort zones and venturing into the unknown. For those who are still considering where to spend their Senior High School years, here are five reasons why OLOPSC Senior High is the best place for you!
1. It is near your home.
OLOPSC has been producing notable alumni from Marikina and nearby areas such as Antipolo, Cainta, Montalban, and San Mateo. Parents and students often choose the school due to its accessibility to learners from said areas. It helps if your school is near your home since you do not sit hours sitting in traffic and avoid wasting precious time that could have been spent learning or resting.
2. ‘Caring Culture’ is a way of life here.
The school has prided itself in promoting a caring culture and OLOPSCians agree! Students have noted that their teachers are often considerate while never losing sight of the goal to provide them a holistic education. Everywhere you go, all members of the OLOPSC community are approachable and are always willing to help.
3. You get quality education without going over budget.
Parents wish nothing more than getting quality education for their children and bigger institutions often cost a lot. OLOPSC Senior High provides the opportunity for students to attain quality education without burning a hole in their pockets. Senior High alumni were able to cope and sometimes even do better than their peers in their respective universities!
4. Student-led ideas are very much welcome!
With the recent establishment of the Kapulungan (Student Council) and the different Balangays (organizations), this is proof that in OLOPSC Senior High, we encourage students to come up with ideas for the betterment of the department! We have several activities such as the Tensendance, SHS Boodle Fight, and MusiklaBANDs which were pioneered by our students.
5. “There’s no other way but up.”
Innovation has always been the Senior High’s forte and we are always improving. Teachers continuously take trainings that help them keep up with the current educational trends and further improve the teaching-learning experience. With the move to introduce blended learning since last school year, OLOPSC Senior High is on to greater heights.
Testimonials
John Elrick Nabong Pelayo (ABM student)
Being part of OLOPSC was a very influential phase in my life. Starting from being a kinder student to a Grade 12 student, OLOPSC has stood as my second home. It served its purpose well, which is to hone me to become a better student and a better person. The curriculum here is very precise yet challenging. Every student is tasked to bring out their very best since OLOPSC ensures quality education by empowering its learners to be globally prepared for the 21st century. While I am in OLOPSC, I am able to expand my knowledge and improve what had been troubling me for years.
Sophia Mape (HUMSS student)
I transferred to OLOPSC at the start of my Senior High School career from a public vocational school in Quezon City, though I’m not a complete stranger to the private schooling system. OLOPSC is not without the usual conventions - you’ve got the uniform, the Catholic background, etc., but I find solace in that. I am reminded of some of my religious roots as I have been somewhat neglecting it for at least 5 to 6 years really, so it’s a nice reminder for it. Not to mention the bowing greeting, now I do it everywhere. I like being polite and bowing is technically the politest thing in Asian culture.
David Timothy B. De Guzman (STEM student)
Enrolling under the STEM strand for senior high school at OLOPSC has been nothing short of an emotional, heartfelt roller coaster. There were a lot of “downs” in this roller coaster, but for each of these downs, that roller coaster always went up to new, record-breaking heights of success. It amuses me to think about it now, but if what you are studying are really your interests, then you won’t find any difficulty in studying them. My strand taught me to love the fields of mathematics more, and to recognize the importance and relevance of each major branch of science.
