Celebrating the 46th year of providing quality and holistic education, Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC) commemorated its Founding Anniversary on February 11-13, with great enthusiasm and zeal. In this year’s Foundation Day, OLOPSC centered its celebration on its continuing commitment to empowering and enabling learners to be future-ready.
The celebration kicked off with a hearty breakfast for the teachers which took place at the Junior High School (JHS) canteen which brought the faculty together and fostered a wonderful sense of community. After a heartwarming salu-salo, a thanksgiving mass was officiated by Father Sherwin Nuñez at the OLOPSC Chapel. It was attended by 46 students from the Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School, 46 non-teaching personnel, and 46 teachers with special guests from the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and Alumni Association. A spectacular 46-member chorale led by the Glee Club, with their voices transcending and echoing the voyage the school has gone through, sang the OLOPSC Hymn—a melody etched in the hearts and minds of many. But it did not end there. A series of songs encapsulating the school’s journey in fulfilling its commitment to the community as well as its pursuit to empower learners with excellence, dreams and uncharted horizons resonated beyond the four walls of the OLOPSC Chapel.
The opening rites commenced which was made more special as the esteemed OLOPSC President, Dr. Armida Salvador-Samaniego, honored the stories of OLOPSC’s humble beginnings, recognized the leadership and commitment of the school administration and shareholders to the school’s mission, and marked OLOPSC’s achievements throughout the years.
