What They Say

RALEN A. LUNA, 4th Year – BSBA Marketing Management
I’m Ralen, 32 years old, a wife, a mother, and an OLOPSCian. I started in OLOPSC last 2017 and took the course of Business Administration major in Marketing Management. I was the President of Business Administration Society (BASoc) AY 2019-2020 and former Student Council Secretary AY 2018-2019. At first, I was scared to enter college because maybe they’re going to judge me for my age, but as the days went by, my professors and classmates started to become friends with me like a family, and they called me “Mommy”. My experience as a student wasn’t quite easy. I needed to wake up in the morning to attend my first class and go home with assignments and projects at the same time as being in charge as an officer.
Our college life is just as thrilling as being on a roller coaster ride, where we experience ups and downs as well. There were thrilling moments, along with times of stress, anxiety, nervousness, apprehension and victory. The college years are truly surprising and a wonderful point in life where we take wise steps towards our future, meet many friends, choose our
majors, finalize our careers and plan for the challenges of the real world, but God is good all the time. He has given me the strength and perseverance to do all these things and with the support of my family, particularly my husband and daughter.
They said all the hardships would be paid off, and I really believe that because I got my Rank 3 Dean’s List award last semester and OLOPSC gave me 50 percent off my school fees, and now I am a graduating student and a PROUD OLOPSCIAN.

ALEXIS ELISE C. ISORENA, 2nd Year – BS Tourism Management
Being the President of League of Tourism Students of the Philippines-OLOPSC Chapter for the School Year 2019-2020, it is an honor and a big opportunity for me to lead our program which is the Tourism Management. I’ve learned a lot of things not only academically but also in my extra-curricular activities. As a leader it is a challenge for us to manage everything but with the help of our fellow students, Professors, Program Director, College Dean and School Personnel we were able to achieve a meaningful and productive school year.
I wasn’t expecting that my term will be a great experience for me because I do expect that there will be a lot of pressures and unexpected challenges, good thing is that in our institution, Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College we were able to work under pressure with the supervision of our professors and at the same time we were taught to enjoy what we are doing while learning.
I am also happy to see that as time goes by, our institution is focusing more on the development of the school facilities, school activities, sustaining the high-quality education and strengthening the caring culture that we have with us as an OLOPSCian. I am truly proud to say that I got the right institution that help me to develop myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

DUENA MARIE N. GOMEZ, 2nd Year – BS Computer Science
My name is Marie Gomez, who is 39 years old and actually holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science. I’m a sophomore student at the moment. It was actually a mixed emotion for me to first go back to school after a few years as a mom / wife / entrepreneur and now as a student and yet OLOPSC has been a wonderful place, a friendly staff, a peaceful community for
learners like me.
Upgraded educational standards and good facilities that I have learned a lot and continue to learn not only academically but also spiritually by throwing a mass every now and then letting us get closer to God. And have an intimate relationship with Him that includes all members of the organization. Instilling honesty and reverence with everyone, i.e. greeting everyone with your
right hand on your left chest (unique greeting from OLOPSC) promoting dignity in each student, cultivating a caring community that I think is a great thing to do.
And last but not least, demonstrating professionalism which involves doing your utmost and being outstanding in everything.

ANA MARIE MANGUBAT, 4th Year – BS Hospitality Management
The faculty and staff are incredibly friendly. They are very eager to help, even when they are not specifically involved in whatever project you are working on. They are just genuinely interested in sharing their expertise with students in order to help them. I like the instructors in OLOPSC, they take time to explain course subjects and are very supportive to students who require extra help. The instructors taught me skills and concepts that not only apply to hotel industry but also any other jobs that require service. The environment here is sociable and many of my classmates have become my friends. I also like the fact that OLOPSC is a pretty safe place to study.

REX A. BANQUITO, 3rd Year – BS Mathematics
I can think of few other programs at OLOPSC that can offer an undergraduate experience as deeply rewarding, academically rigorous, and intimate as the one I am taking up now. The math faculty itself is incredibly approachable and down to earth, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure not only that their students perform well academically, but also develop an
appreciation for the beauty and intrigue of the mathematics they are studying. There is a lot to learn, which will help me get used to working in the real world. OLOPSC creates the ideal environment to study and develop as a student, whether you are interested in continuing to graduate studies or in pursuing a career in industry.
